Overview:

Marrakesh, a former imperial city in western Morocco, is a major economic center and home to mosques, palaces and gardens. The medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire, with mazelike alleys where thriving souks (marketplaces) sell traditional textiles, pottery and jewelry. A symbol of the city, and visible for miles, is the Moorish minaret of 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque.

3 days tour program

DAY 1 : MARRAKECH - TIZI N TICHKA PASS - KASBAH AIT BENHADDOU - OUARZAZATE - DADES GORGES

Marrakech Sahara Trip offering private Marrakech tour to explore best of Sahara desert. 3 days private Morocco desert tour starts in the morning and we pick up you from any place in Marrakech city. Then we drive towards Ait Benhaddou, passing the highest road pass in Morocco, called Tizi n Tichka mountain pass. We will enjoy amazing sceneries through Berber villages. Once we arrive in Ait Benhaddou we will have a guided tour in the kasbah and we will explore the village. You will have a traditional Moroccan lunch here. We are then off to Ouarzazate city to explore its movie studios where many famous Hollywood movies were shot. We will visit also a local kasbah. We drive through the valley of Roses and also the “Road of 1000s Kasbahs” to reach Dades Gorges where we spend the night in a local riad/hotel with dinner.

DAY 2 : DADES GORGES - TODRA GORGES - ERFOUD - RISSANI - MERZOUGA

After breakfast, we drive toward Todgha gorges, and we will visit the valley and its gorges. Then we drive towards Erfoud, famous for fossil products. We continue to the traditional city, Rissani. Once you get there you may feel you have traveled back in time. We drive to Merzouga, which is the gate to the desert dunes. From here we ride camels for around 90 minutes to reach the desert camp, where we enjoy a mint tea with the Nomads. We will climb high dunes to watch the sunset in the desert of Morocco. We will enjoy traditional dinner at camp and friendly Nomad guides will play music for us around a campfire. Tonight we sleep under nomads’ desert tents in Merzouga Sahara desert.

DAY 3 : MERZOUGA DESERT - RISSANI - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

In the morning after breakfast we ride camels back to Merzouga, and then we are off to Marrakech, passing Draa valley, Ouarzazate, and Tizi n Tichka mountain pass. Once we reach Marrakech, we drop you off at your desired place (hotel/square/bus/train station/airport).
